4. Continue connecting any remaining ContentBridge nodes in the same manner.
Software Installation overview
Before you begin the ContentBridge 4000, verify that you have all the information you will need.
NOTE:
You must configure both 10Gb interfaces and you must configure a primary DNS
server.
Network information
• For each public 10Gb interface:
◦ IP address
◦ Network prefix (for example 24, 27, 16)
◦ Gateway IP address
• Primary DNS server IP address
• Secondary DNS server IP address (optional)
Host information
• Hostname (the first part of the FQDN)
• Domain Suffix (the rest of the FQDN)
BMC information
• IP address
Time information
• Timezone
• NTP Servers FQDN or IP address (at least 1 is required)
Harmonic MediaGrid information
• ContentDirector DNS name or IP address
• Filesystem name
• mount options (optional)
Authentication mechanism: Active Directory, Local User Authentication, or Administrative
Shares (AS)
• Active Directory Authentication
◦ AD Controller FQDN
◦ AD secondary controller FQDN (optional)
◦ Realm
◦ Workgroup
◦ Username of AD Administrator
◦ Password of AD Administrator (used once, not stored)
