When selecting the switch off temperature, the measuring tolerance of the PT1000 temperature sensor as well as the
tolerance of the measuring circuit of the servo controller must be taken into account.
9.2.2 Servo actuators CanisDrive
®
and AlopexDrive
The motor windings of the servo actuators CanisDrive
®
and AlopexDrive are equipped with two temperature sensors.
A linear sensor PTC of the type KTY 84-130 is connected to the motor feedback connector; another sensor PTC, a so
called DIN-PTC, with a nominal response temperature of 120 °C or 145°C (depending on size) is connected to the motor
power connector.
Note: The DIN-PTC sensor can only be connected in the "L", "N" or "E" versions with 8-pin motor connector M23 or
M17. The DIN-PTC cannot be connected in the "H" version with 6-pin motor connector M23. The exact pin assignments
are listed in the Mechatronics catalogue in the chapter CanisDrive
®
- Electrical Connections.

The DIN-PTC sensors are well suited as winding protection due to their very high positive temperature coefficient at
nominal response temperature (T
Nat
).
Due to its principle, the DIN-PTC sensor can only protect the winding from overheating. It is not possible to measure the
current winding temperature with a DIN-PTC sensor.
