3.4.4 Inserting a Micro-SD Card
The rear panel of the HI6800 Application Controller has a Micro-SD slot to serve as external
memory for the instrument. The memory can be used to transfer parameters from one
instrument to another (cloning) or used as back-up memory to restore an instrument in the
event of a failure.
1. Hold the SIMM-SD card with its label facing up.
2. Slide the SMM-SD card into the SMM-SD slot on the rear panel.
3. Push the SMM-SD card until a snap indicates that the card is seated.
4. To remove the SMM-SD card, gently push the card in towards the instrument and quickly
release the card, allowing it to be completely removed from the housing.
Note:
Always store a SMM-SD card in a static-free enclosure within a secure
environment to avoid losing the information stored on the card.
