a switch, when activated performs the Start, Pause, Abort, Rst Tot
(Reset totalizer), Print and Refill functions. A is Alarm Clear.
CAUTION THE START INPUT OVERRIDES THE FRONT PANEL STOP KEY.
• The remote function provides for easily accessed switches for
PLC's other than Remote I/O or Profibus and provides an alterna-
tive to the keypad on the front panel of the controller. All switch
configurations are momentary except for the Remote Set Point
Option which must be maintained.
• The Remote Set Point Option enables the HI 2160RC
PLUS
to read
the current analog input signal when activated. It is used to down-
load set point values. The Rate Set point remains at the same rate
until the Remote pin is grounded again. If the Remote pin is kept
shorted to the ground pin, it tracks the analog input signal and con-
stantly updates the Rate Set point value.

About Remote Set
Point Input Option
(Analog In) The Remote Set Point Input Option card enables the HI 2160RC
PLUS
to
receive an analog input signal from any device capable of an analog
output. The configuration of the Remote Set Point Input Option sets the
instrument up to match the analog input signal to the analog output sig-
nal of another device. The Set Point Option enables a device to
remotely set the Set Rate, Set Point. The HI2160RC
PLUS
is capable of
receiving the following analog signals:
0-20mA 0-5VDC
4-20mA 0-10VDC
