Risk of damage from improper positioning
of the appliance.
Insuffi cient air circulation may lead to
damage caused by overheating.

Only position the hob on a heat-resist-
ant, level work surface and do not ob-
struct/cover the cooling openings.
■
Never operate the hob above or next to
other heat-generating appliances.
Risk due to improper operation!
Improper handling of the appliance may
result in damage.
■
Do not operate the hob with empty
cookware.
■
Do not allow objects to fall onto the glass
ceramic. Even small objects may cause a
great deal of damage if they come into
contact with glass ceramic in a puncti-
form manner.
■
Wipe the hob and the base of the pots
before use to remove any dirt that may
cause scratches.
■
Do not push heavy pans across the hob;
this may scratch the glass ceramic.
■
Do not place hot pots or pans on the
sensor fi eld. Otherwise the electronics
underneath may be damaged.
■
Do not place any magnetisable objects
(e.g. credit cards) or electronic devices
(e.g. MP3 players) near the hob, as they
may be damaged by the electromagnet-
ic fi eld.
■
Do not use the hob as a work surface or
a storage area.
■
Metallic objects such as knives, forks,
spoons and lids should not be placed on
the hotplate since they can get hot.
■
Do not use any harsh abrasive deter-
gents, scouring agents, abrasive powder
or steel sponges; they can scratch the
surface. This can destroy the glass.
■
Do not use steam or high-pressure clean-
ers to clean the hob.
■
Clean and maintain the hob regularly
with a special care product containing a
special impregnating oil for glass hobs.
Such products can be found in specialist
shops.
