Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the combination
fridge-freezer may lead to damage.
• After transport, leave the combination
fridge-freezer to stand in its normal
position for approx. 6 hours before
putting it into operation. This allows
the lubricant enough time to flow back
into the compressor.
• Connect mains plug to a properly installed
socket (see ‘Technical specifications’ on
page EN-30).
• When you open the door of the refrigerator,
you will hear a beeping sound and the appli-
ance’s interior will light up.

The fridge-freezer is protected against uninten-
tional changes in settings. The
symbol will
light up on the display. If you press a button, a
tone will sound and the
indicator will flash.
• To unlock the control panel, press the
CHILD
LOCK
button for 3 seconds. The
indicator
will go out and a tone will sound. The control
panel buttons are now released.
• To relock:
– Press the
CHILD LOCK
button. You will
hear a beeping sound and the
symbol
will appear on the display.
– Do not press any buttons for 25 seconds.
You will hear a beeping sound and the
symbol will appear on the display.

Setting the temperature in the
fridge
CAUTION
Health hazard
!
The appliance may not operate properly
if exposed to low ambient temperatures
for extended periods of time. This can
then lead to an increase in temperature
in the fridge and freezer.
• Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
‘Intended use’ on page EN-4).
If you set a lower temperature, you will
need a higher cooling performance. This
increases the energy consumption.
