NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to property damage.
■
The presence of any metal in the
cooking compartment can cause
sparks when operating the micro-
wave or when using the combi mode!
This can destroy the appliance and
the viewing pane! Do not use metal
pots, metal pans, metal lids or crock-
ery with metal parts (such as gold
edges) under any circumstances.
■
When in grill, convection or mul-
ti-function mode, do not use any por-
celain, ceramic or plastic containers
or film wrap that cannot withstand
high temperatures.
■
Do not use baking paper or similar!
■
Containers that become hotter than
the food inside them are not suitable
for microwave cooking. Do not use
such containers.
The appliance offers different types of heat-
ing: Microwave, grill, hot air and combi mode.
Always choose the appropriate cookware for
the different heating methods. Please also
ensure to observe the manufacturer’s guide-
lines. Unsuitable crockery can lead to the ap-
pliance becoming damaged.
For grill, convection and hot
air mode
Any materials used when cooking in a con-
ventional oven can also be used for these
heating methods:
– Pots with heat-resistant handles can be
recognised by the label indicating ‘heat re-
sistant up to 280°C’.
– Fire-proof dishes made of glass, porcelain,
ceramic and clay or cast iron.
– In particular, ovens with top and bottom
heat require dishes and trays with good
heat transfer, preferably metals which have
been painted black, as these allow cakes
to brown nicely.
– Good results can also be achieved with
coated or non-coated aluminium trays.
For microwave and combi
mode
Use only microwave-suitable crockery. This
includes:
– fire-resistant glass, ceramic, porcelain
– fire and frost resistant glass ceramics
– High heat resistant and microwaveable
plastic (e.g. oven bag)
To determine whether the crockery is
suitable for the microwave, expose the
empty container to the full microwave power
for 30 seconds. If the crockery
– gets hot or even sparks occur, open the
cooking compartment door immediately
to abort the process: This crockery is not
suitable!
– stays cold or gets hand-hot only, it can be
used for the pure microwave mode.
Size and form
– Flat, wide containers are more suitable
than tall, narrow ones. ‘Flat’ dishes can
cook through more evenly.
– Round or oval shaped containers are more
suitable than square or rectangular con-
tainers. There is a risk of localised over-
heating in the corners!
