7.6 Batteryand charger

Do not use an external charger or a high voltage charger.

Charge the battery in a well
-
ventilated area.
★
Use the correct AC input voltage indicated on the label for charging.
★
Only batteries and chargers approved by HANGCHA can be used.
Charging the battery (standard lead
-
acid batteries)
1. Make sure that the battery is connected before charging.
2. Open the battery side cover which needs to be kept open during the charging process.
3. Remove the battery vent cover and check the electrolyte level of the battery. If the electrolyte
level is low, the operator should add enough distilled water through the filling port on the top of
the battery to make the distilled water cover the electrode plate. Do not overfill.
4. Fit the ventilation cover.
5. Connect the charger to a grounded AC circuit.
6. The charger will give a prompt when the battery is fully charged.
7. Check the battery electrolyte level after it is fully charged. If the electrolyte level is low, the
operator should add distilled water through the filling port on the top of the battery. Do not
overfill.
Charging the battery (maintenance

free batteries or lithium

ion batteries)
