Driver and Software Installation
The Installation of the TX-100 driver and software is quick and simple. Please, do not connect
the TX-100 hardware to your PC before installing the drivers.
Note 1: Check your Windows OS version. You should use Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or
higher, Windows XP Home or Service Pack 1 or higher minimum. Current service packs and
critical updates are available from
http://windowsupdate.micorsoft.com
Note 2: Together, the TX-100 and Win DVD Creator support two types of MPEG-4 compression:
• Real-time MPEG-4 compression, with file extension *.avi, is supported by the TX-100.
• Real-Time DivX® compression (with WinDVD Creato2 software), with file extension *.avi, is
also supported by the TX-100.
The TX-100 hardware encoder can capture video and compress it using MPEG-4 or DivX® with
Intervideo WinDVD Creator2, saving valuable space on your hard disk. You can play this
MPEG-4 and DivX® video and view it on your computer. You can even edit it or convert it into
another format by using Win DVD Creator.
DivX® compressed video is a popular format for sharing files on the Internet. DivX® files are
playable with Windows Media Player with a DivX® decoder (see http://www.DivX.com/) and with
other decoders available on the Internet
