6. Troubleshooting
Error Possible cause Remedy
The cutting rollers do not
switch on automatically
when material to be
shredded is inserted.
The main switch (10) is in
the "O" position.
Move the main switch
(10) to the "|" position.
The "ON/OFF" button (13)
was not pressed.
Press the "ON/OFF"
button (13) until the
Ready status LED (16)
lights up solid green.
The collecting container
(7) is not inserted
properly.
Insert the collecting
container (7) properly.
The paper guide flap (6)
(automatic intake) has not
been pressed down.
Hold down the paper
guide flap (6) and insert
the paper stack as far as
it will go.
The connecting cable is
not connected correctly.
Ensure that the mains
plug is in the mains
socket
The socket is not live Check the domestic fuses
The device is faulty. Notify Customer Services.
The Overheating /
Overload status LED (15)
is lit up red.
Too much paper has been
inserted or it has been
drawn in at an angle.
Follow the steps in
4.5 Forward/reverse
modes and clearthe
paper jam.
The device has become
too hot.
Switch the device off and
allow it to cool down for at
least 60 minutes.
The Container LED (14) is
lit up red.
The collecting container
(7) is full.
Empty the container
(7) as described in5.1
Emptying the container.
The cutting rollers
continue to run after the
shredding process has
been completed.
There is jammed paper in
the intake shaft (1)/(2).
Follow the steps as
described in 4.5
Forwards / backwards
modes . Switch off the
machine and check for
pieces of paper stuck in
the intake shaft.
