GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOTTLED DISPENSERS
INSTALLATION
1. Locate water cooler in a well ventilated space where temperature is always above freezing.
2. Insure proper ventilation by maintaining a minimum clearance of 2 (51 mm) on sides and rear of cooler.
3. Make sure cooler is on a level surface.
4. Locate cooler near a three-prong grounding type receptacle. DO NOT USE EXTENSION CORDS.
5. To prevent algae from growing, do not located cooler near direct sunlight.
START UP
1. Install drain receptacle and grid below faucet.
2. Thoroughly clean the reservoir and baffle(using a mild dishwashing detergent). Baffle must be in place for proper
cooling operation.
3. Connect cooler to electrical supply.
CAUTION
: HOT TANK MUST BE FILLED WITH WATER BEFORE UNIT IS CON
NECTED TO ELECTRICAL SOURCE, IN ORDER TO PREVENT POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE HOT TANK.
4. HOT TANK SERVICE SWITCH: For models equipped with a rocker switch on the rear of the cooler, this switch must be
in the
|
position (ON)
for the hot tank operation.
5. Invert the water bottle on top of unit.
CAUTION
: Avoid filling the water tank above the level normally maintained by the
inverted bottle.
6. Hold faucet open until air bubbles rise in water bottle. On hot models, depress hot valve until water flow is continuous
and clear.
CLEANING
1. Cabinet top, side panels, front panel, grid and drain receptacle can be cleaned with any NON-abrasive household
cleaner which does NOT contain solvents. To prevent damage to plastic panels, avoid cleaning aids such as steel
wool, scouring pads, etc.
NOTE
: ALWAYS REMOVE POWER SUPPLY CORD FROM THE WALL RECEPTACLE
BEFORE CLEANING.
MAINTENANCE
1. COLD THERMOSTAT: The thermostat is set to deliver water at approximately 50°F (10°C.). For colder water, adjust the
screw on the thermostat clockwise. The thermostat is located at the rear of the cooler.
2. HOT THERMOSTAT: The thermostat is factory set to deliver water at approximately 185°F(85°C.) and is NOT adjust
able.
CAUTION
: HOT TANK MUST BE FILLED WITH WATER BEFORE CONNECTING TO THE ELECTRICAL SOURCE.
3. LUBRICATION: None required.
4. CONDENSER: To ensure optimum cooler performance, condenser must be maintained free of dust and lint. Con
denser must be regularly inspected and cleaned with a brush.
5. DRAIN RECEPTACLE: The drain receptacle should be emptied and cleaned regularly. To remove, lift receptacle
straight up and then away from the cabinet.
6. STORAGE or RETURN SHIPMENT: If the cooler is removed from service, the water must be completely drained from
the system.
7. REPLACING WATER BOTTLE: Open faucet until air bubbles rise in bottle after each replacement, this will ensure
correct water level for proper operation.
