Max Output Resolution
Controls HDMI output down sampling to 1080p
•
When set to 4K (default), the output resolution is the
same as input resolution.
•
When set to 1080p, the output resolution is the same
as input up to 1080p, but if the input resolution
exceeds 1080p, it gets scaled down per the following
3840x2160 is down sampled to 1920x1080p
4096x2160 is down sampled to 2048x1080p
This allows users to use a 4K video source and show it
as 4K with no reduction in quality on 4K displays but
they can also use legacy 1080p TVs and get a display on
them with 1080p resolution.
