Transport and storage
Transport conditions ex works
The service lift is delivered from the factory lying on its back on a wooden pallet.
The associated components (ropes, rope weights, etc.) are stored underneath. If
the service lift is transported further, the following conditions must be observed:
Only transport the service lift lying on its back. Make sure it is not tilted
to the side.
Do not load the service lift with additional loads.
Protect the service lift from weather and moisture, as well as from salt
water and salty air.
Storage conditions
If the service lift is stored for an extended period of time before it is installed, the
following storage conditions must be observed:
The service lift should be protected from weather and humidity in a
closed room.
During storage, the lowest possible air humidity should be strived for.
Avoid long storage periods in salty environments.
Store the service lift only in the permitted temperature range (Technical

13.1
Intended use
The TOPlift L+ edition may only be used for the intended use described here.
The service lift may only be used for the transport of persons, including work
material, or for material transport to an elevated work position in the interior of
enclosed, tower-like structures (e.g. wind turbine generators).
Operation may only be carried out by certified personnel specifically trained by
the manufacturer.
The maximum permissible payload must not be exceeded.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for personal injury or material damage, or
malfunctions affecting the service lift or the structure, due to improper use.
Compliance with all scheduled inspections and maintenance is mandatory.
Observance and full compliance with local, regional and national regulations
and ordinances is mandatory.
13.2
Foreseeable misuse
Foreseeable misuse covers:
Use outside enclosed spaces.
Unauthorized or untrained persons entering the service lift.
Use of the service lift by persons who have not read and understood the
rescue plan.
Entering the service lift without personal protective equipment.
The operation of the service lift if a person is alone in the wind turbine
generator.
Use of the service lift without carrying a means of communication.
