NSTALLATION
1. With link to the front of Shaker, link D touching the workbench in front of
Shaker, place the link assembly on the threaded ends of the spring guide
shaft (see Figure 6-2, Link Assembly Removal and Installation). Replace
the lock washer and nut on right end shaft and lock washer, washers and
nut to the left of shaft. Do not tighten screws at this point.
2. Ensuring that the torsion spring is in the groove of the torsion bushing, ro-
tate the shaft approximately ½ turn toward the neck or until the 832 shoul-
der screw on shaft is facing neck of Shaker. Tighten nuts on shaft.
3. Grease shoulder bolt and apply red Loctite
®
271 to threads. Rotate the
link assembly back toward the neck until the shoulder bolt can be inserted
through the link M and crank M.
Note: Threads on the shoulder bolt are left-handed threads.
4. Crank M and Link M should be close to parallel. If adjustment is needed,
remove left lockwasher and nut and remove or add washers as necessary.
