6. Connect the pneumatics tubing to the bottom of the valve.
Air Tank
1. Remove the line conditioner assembly. See “Line Conditioner” on
page 147 .
2. Remove the pinch valve compressor.
3. Remove the (2) Phillips head screws securing the tank to the power
supply.
Pinch Valve
Compressor
1. Disconnect the compressor connector on the front panel distribution
PCB.
2. Remove the (1) Phillips head screw on the pivot block.
3. Release the compressor from the clamp.
4. Disconnect the black pneumatic tubing from the air tank.
Solution and
Blood Pump
Assembly
1. Remove the rear panel.
2. Disconnect the applicable pump’s connectors from the top deck
distribution PCB.
3. Remove the (4) Phillips head screws securing the pump assembly to the
top deck.
4. Partially pull the pump assembly out of the top deck, and remove the (1)
Phillips head screw securing the ground wire to the pump motor.
5. Fully remove motor by lifting straight up and out of the cabinet.
Rotor
1. Remove the (1) #10 hex screw securing the pump rotor to the pump
shaft.
2. Pull the rotor out of the pump head.
Installation of the rotor
Note: The rotors for the pumps are keyed and must be fully seated to operate
properly.
1. Place the rotor onto the pump shaft.
2. Slowly rotate the rotor by hand until the cutout in the bottom of the rotor
lines up with the pump shaft key and the rotor drops into position.
3. Install the #10 hex screw to the center of the rotor and tighten until snug.
DO NOT overtighten this screw.
