Safety instructions
Damaged Accumulators:
A damaged accumulator can be identified by:
damaged or deformed housing of the accumulator
tarnished spots on the metal parts of the batteries
melting points
heating accumulators when the unit is switched off
leaking of the batteries
The unit is never to be used with damaged accumulators.
A damaged accumulator or a unit with damaged
accumulators is to be stored in a non-burning, non-
conducting (electricity) vessel. If you have to move the unit
with damaged accumulators, you have to remove the
accumulators first (see page 10). A damaged accumu-lator
may never be shipped. It is only to be transported in a
ireproof, non-conducting container, and under supervision.
With a damaged accumulator it is possible that battery acid
is leaking out. Therefore make sure to only touch it wearing
protective gloves. Should the battery acid ever get in contact
with human skin, rinse with lots of water for at least 15
minutes. Should the battery acid ever get in contact with the
human eye, also rinse the eyelid with lots of water for at
least 15 minutes.
