• Prepare reagents a day in advance and keep the reagents at
room temperature.
• Degas all reagents with helium (unless otherwise noted)
• Use a longer backpressure loop. Increase in 50 cm
increments.
A white precipitate is
formed inside the
manifold tubing when
TKN is flushed.
Order of the reagent
tubing removal
Remove the sodium hydroxide and buffer tubing only after
salicylate reagent is no longer present on the manifold.
