* Replace shearing pin

If necessary, remove some of the load until the shear-
ing bolt is outside the casing, Image 9.
-
Unlock and pull off the lever pipe by turning it.

Hit broken pieces of the pin out of the bore using a
punch and hammer.

Remove the reserve pin from the clamping jaw open-
ing lever (HIT 6/10) or handle (HIT 16/32).
-
Line up the bores on the lever pieces and hammer in
the new shearing pin.

Maintenance

In the event the device is very dirty, clean with
a pressure washer
If necessary, disassemble the casing and re-
move dirt/foreign objects

Drizzle in engine oil
After using a pressure washer:
Soak the device in engine oil and let the oil
drip off.
The clamping jaws and rope must remain dry.

Device, rope and accessories must be checked at least
every 2 years
(see sticker on the de-
vice) by an expert certified by Habegger.
When doing so all parts are checked for deformation, wear and cracks. The test results must
be entered in the inspection log.
The tests must be arranged by the operating company.
In addition to this, additional tests must be arranged by an expert according to the local reg-
ulations as well as after harsh use conditions, at a shortened interval.
