2.
Mode of operation
The hot-pressing device PT-50 operates at a pressing temperature of 110°C
/ 230°F
. A universal heating
cartridge in the upper press part regulates the fixed and not adjustable temperature. This feature allows the
device to be connected to any supply voltage from 110V up to 240V, 50 or 60 Hz without adaptation.
The lower pressing part features a spring-mounted set-up plate with two clamps for fixing the prepared belt /
tape ends. The belt clamps can be set in two different positions according to the belt / tape width.
For fastening the press to the frame of a machine, the bottom of the press provides a 6-mm hole for
attaching a table clamp or any other suitable device. Alternatively, such a device can be attached to the
central fixing point of the set-up plate with a 4-mm self-tapping screw.
3. Initial
start-up
The PT-50 can be operated at any power supply voltage between 110 and 240 V.
Check to make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate (11) conforms to the electrical
connection voltage.
Check to make sure that the set-up plate (5) and the metal heating plate (3) are clean.
INDICATION For
safe operation, place hot-pressing device PT-50 always upright.
For stationary operation, place hot-pressing device PT-50 on a solid and heat-resistant support.
For safe operation, the hot-pressing device can be attached to a bench or frame. A 6-mm mounting
