Configure the
voice call mode
Select “Provision -> Call Mode” in
the navigation bar. Tick the “Use
GateKeeper Client Mode” in the
configuration items to enable the
GK client function. Then, configure
the following parameters of the GK
client:
Phone Number: 2001
H.323 Gateway ID: gw2001
Master GK IP address:
192.168.80.50
Master GK ID: gkserver

Configure the PC to obtain IP address automatically.

The configuration of DHCP server and GK are omitted here; you can configure them
according to the actual network.
Caution:
z
Before dialing a PSTN number, you need to dial the PSTN switch number which
defaults to “0”. You can also set this number. Refer to 4.3.1 VG Configuration for
detailed operation.
z
If the connection between the PSTN trunk and the LINE port of the VG 10-11 is
disconnected due to some reason, do not dial the switch number within five
seconds.
z
Do not unplug the phone line off the LINE port during conversation via PSTN
network.
5.1.3 Fax Application
I. Network requirements
In the user LAN network, by building up the voice network using VG 10-10/10-11 and
GK, you can fax or make calls by dialing the phone number of the called voice gateway.
