As shown in
, PCs in the Ethernet are connected with the router. PPPoE
client runs on the router, while PPPoE server runs on the SecPath F1800-A. On-line
data reach the router before being encapsulated through PPPoE. The ADSL modem
that is attached to the router reaches ADSL access server and finally access the
Internet. In this way, the Internet access is realized without installing PPPoE client
dialing software by the user.
3.2 PPPoE Server Configuration
The configuration of PPPoE server includes:

Enabling or disabling PPPoE
z
Setting PPPoE parameters
3.2.1 Enabling or Disabling PPPoE
These commands take effect only on Ethernet interfaces. Namely, when the PPPoE
server is enabled on one Ethernet interface, it is not enabled on other Ethernet
interfaces. Moreover, when the PPPoE server is disabled on one Ethernet interface, it
is not disabled on other Ethernet interfaces.
Note: Before performing the configuration in
, you have to finish the
configuration on the virtual template interface.
