Installation - Existing Construction

CAUTION:

 Make sure the power is switched off at the service panel before starting 

installation.

Removing the existing fan

 

Remove the old fan from the ceiling.

Measuring the ceiling opening

 

Measure the opening to ensure it is large enough to 
accommodate the new fan body (A) (9.25 in. x 8.9 in.).

Enlarging the opening (optional)

 

If this fan is not replacing an old fan, cut a 9.25 in. x 8.9 in. 
opening for the fan body (A).

 

MAKE SURE ONE EDGE OF THE OPENING IS FLUSH WITH 
THE JOIST FOR INSTALLATION FROM BELOW.

Removing the motor and power line

 

Loosen the three screws where indicated by the arrows.

 

Remove the motor and power line (1) from the housing (A).
