4.3 Trouble-shooting
Professional repairs must only be carried out in the manufacturers factory.
If you open the motor or manipulate it in any way, the claims under
guarantee shall be null and void.
„ „ You should replace a faulty drive or have it repaired
„ „ If the motor stops running, check whether the limit position switch has
been activated.
Problems that arise when installing or in normal operation of the drive can
be remedied on the basis of the following table.
If the motor does not respond to actuation by wall switch, have the power
supply checked by a qualified electrician.
Emergency release of a locking drive installed concealed
The repair of a defective drive by the installer or
end user is
not permitted !
WARNING
The emergency release of a locking drive that is installed concealed in a
profile is reached through a borehole in the profile hidden by the cover.
Problem Possible cause Solution
Drive
not functioning
No electric energy is being
supplied to the power supply
unit.
Make sure that the residual
current circuit-breaker and the
safety switch are in a
trouble-free condition.
Cable(s) connected incorrectly
or not at all.
Make sure that all cables are
correctly connected.
The power supply unit is not
supplying the required voltage
(24 V).
Replace the power supply unit.
Drive not
functioning and
Eltral VAN beeping:
„1x - pause...“
No communication between
Eltral VAN and drive
Check the wiring and the positi-
on of the DIP switches.
Check the LED indication in
order to determine the problem.
Drive not
functioning and
Eltral VAN beeping:
„4x - pause...“
