Power generation system operation
Acknowledging the warning message
Acknowledge the warning message of the insulation monitor by pressing
the button Buzzer disconnection reset . The warning buzzer will then fall
silent. If the insulation fault remains after acknowledgment, the warning
lamp Insulation fault continues to light up.
After remedying the fault, press the acknowledgment button “Buzzer
disconnect reset” again to switch off the warning lamp.
5.5.4
Check insulation monitor
Check the correct function of the insulation monitor every day before
starting work. Only put the power generation system into service when the
check showed that the insulation monitor was in correct working order.
Check the insulation monitor as follows

Remove all devices and cables connected to the power generation system.

Start the drive unit.
>
Perform the check when the generator is running.
>
Switch on the main switch on the switch cabinet.
>
Press the check button of the insulation monitor.
>
The insulation monitor should now trip (warning lamp “insulation fault”
lights up and the warning buzzer sounds).

The insulation monitor must trip.
►
If the insulation monitor does not trip, refrain from using the
power generation system any longer.
►
In this case, have the power generation system sent for
repairs (
ð
chapter 7, page 79).
>
After approx. 5 seconds, acknowledge the warning message by pressing
the button Buzzer disconnect reset .
The warning lamp goes out and the warning buzzer falls silent.
>
After successfully checking the insulation monitor, the power generation
system is now ready for operation.
