De-icing the Fans
A de-icing cycle is provided to de-ice the fans of the stage that
follows the minimum ventilation stage. If the controller uses an
outside temperature sensor, de-icing cycles are only activated
when the outside temperature drops below a user-defined
temperature. If no outside temperature sensor is used, de-icing
cycles are always active, no matter what the outside temperature
is.
De-icing process:
1. During the On Time of a de-icing cycle, the minimum
ventilation stage is replaced by the stage that follows.
2. When the On Time has elapsed, the controllers returns to
the minimum ventilation stage until the end of the de-icing
cycle.
3. The next de-icing cycle starts at the end of the cycle time.
Setting the Outside De-icing T°:
If an outside temperature sensor is used, the controller lets you
decide the outside temperature below which de-icing cycles take
place. The de-icing outside temperature ranges from -40 to 120°F
(-40.0 to 48.9°C).
Only accessible if the de-icing function and outside temperature
sensor are activated.
1. Press Minimum Ventilation .
2. Press the down arrow key to select and adjust the outside
de-icing temperature.
