8. Product introduction
8.1 Product description
Grundfos pumping stations are prefabricated pumping stations for
collection and pumping of wastewater. The pumping stations
come as complete, assembled units ready for installation. The
pumps are lowered into the pit when the pit has been installed.
The pit is made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic (GRP) and comes
with inlet and outlet pipes fitted.
The pit is available with a separate valve chamber enabling the
operator to get access to valves without having to enter the pump
pit.
Wastewater is led into the pit. When the liquid in the pit reaches
the maximum liquid level, the pump will start and pump the liquid
further on into the sewer system.
