7. Remove the key 11 out of the pump shaft 51.

If the area under the impeller has become soiled,
remove the soil with chemical solutions and water
rinses with the aid of one or more of a combination
of brushes, non-metallic scouring pads and
scrapers.
8. Remove (do not discard) the seal spacer 61
from pump shaft 51.
This seal spacer applies to an open spring
mechanical seal only.

9. Remove the O-ring 109 out of the seal spacer

11. Remove rotary ring of the mechanical seal 105.
Spray clean water on to the pump shaft 51 to do
this.

Lubricating the shaft with clean water may help the
seal slide along the shaft. If the area under the
