The question, “Perform Piston Dimension Calibration?” Will appear on the screen. If “NO” 4.
is selected the system will ask for a manual entry of the piston diameter and then exit the
calibration routine. If you do not know the piston diameter, press the key adjacent to “Yes” to
calculate.

Enter the weight of the calibration load including all shackles and hook weights. Load must be 5.
entered in thousandths of pounds (i.e. 1,400 lbs is entered as 1.4). The calibration load should
be as large a mass that is safe for the crane to pick at a boom angle of around 60°. If smaller
loads are used, the boom may be partially extended, and the angle may also be lowered to
50 or 55°. This will cause more induced pressure in the cylinder and help make the load
calibration as close as possible.

Pick up the calibration load and hold it steady to settle any fluctuations or movement. Confirm 6.
