Pump and engine failure
There can be many causes for pump and engine failure: cavitation, high pressure, and
contamination
•
Never run out of oil
.
•
Never let a cold machine run at speed quickly. The engine must run at idle before
connecting/disconnecting the engine of the head
.
•
Never increase or decrease the speed of the tractor quickly
.
•
The condition of suction hose and pump fittings is checked regularly and
tightened
.
•
The rotor must never be started and stopped at full speed
.
•
Avoid sudden movements with the arm - as well as irregularities and bumps on
the ground - as sudden changes in pressure are recirculated to the pump and
may result in malfunctions
.
•
Avoid hitting an object with the rotor, for example the gutter, as it will induce
pressure changes
.
•
Never transport the machine with the PTO
.
•
Never choose too high a PTO speed
.
•
Never work above the recommended PTO speed - this will result in overheating
.
REMEMBER that warranty on the pump and engine is limited to
replacement due to product or manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not apply if an investigation determines any of these to be the
predominant cause of a malfunction: Cavitation, contamination or driving with excessive
pressure. The warranty also does not apply if the error is due to misuse
.
