GREENPAN™ OVENWARE
CARE AND USE
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Important Safeguards
Read all safety information carefully and thoroughly before using this product!
•
Do not allow children near the oven while it is in use.
•
To avoid injury always use caution when handling hot ovenware.
•
For safety reasons, never leave hot ovenware unattended.
•
Always use oven mitts or potholders when removing ovenware from a hot oven.
2) Usage Guide
Before First Use
:
•
Remove all packaging materials and labels (please recycle rubbish properly)
•
Wash in warm soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Recommendations for energy saving and best baking results:
•
Because GreenPan™ ovenware with the patented Thermolon™ non-stick technology conducts
heat more efficiently and rapidly, oven temperatures can be set lower during baking. The first few
times you bake, watch foods closely as they approach being “done”.
If they brown faster than expected, reduce the temperature until you get the results you want.
Recommendations for best food release:
•
Always start with clean ovenware. Wash carefully and be sure that you have removed all traces
of cooking oil and food before you store your ovenware.
Cooking oil and butter:
•
For baking any kind of dough, we recommend to brush a thin layer of butter on the interior surface
of the ovenware prior to its use. There is no need to dust the surface with flour. Most recipes indicate
if you need to smear butter or not.
•
Fats and oils work in various temperature ranges. We recommend olive oil; it’s healthier and has a
relatively high burn point.
•
Do not
use oil sprays. These sprays cause residue build-up that is difficult to remove from all types
of ovenware.
Utensils:
•
Metal utensils can cause scratching of any non-stick surface. Plastic, rubber, or wooden utensils
are recommended to prolong the life of the ovenware.
•
Do not
cut food whilst it is in the ovenware.
