INSTRUCTIONS FOR
PORTABLE IN-LINE RCD
The incoming end of the in-line RCD
has the built in IEC connector in the
housing, and must be connected to the
mains supply. The outgoing supply has
a
0.3
metre length of cable, which is
fitted with an IEC plug.
IMPORTANT
It is essential that the unit is connected
the right way round, i.e. with the built
in plug end connected to the mains
supply.
When used with other accessories,
ensure that the fuse or MCB protecting
the circuit has the correct rating.

Please carry out this simple test
procedure prior to each use.
•
Insert plug into power socket outlet.
•
Press and release reset button -
the red indicator should disappear.
This means the RCD has tripped
successfully, cutting off the power
from the RCD.
•
Now press and release the reset
button again, the unit is ready for
use.
WARNING:-
Should your PowerBreaker
Safety In-Line Portable RCD Unit
repeatedly trip with an appliance
connected or fail to trip when tested, in
accordance with the instructions,
return to place of purchase.
IMPORTANT, FOR YOUR
PROTECTION:
Electricity can be
dangerous and the use of an RCD
should not be regarded as a substitute
for basic electrical safety precautions.
Always switch off from supply when
working on equipment.
