Flailing Hazard
Marker hydraulics are active whenever the fold
hydraulics are not in use. It is important to set
the tractor fold/marker hydraulic circuit lever to
“Float” or “Neutral” to prevent unintended
marker operations. Unexpected marker operation
and flailing equipment can serious injures
including death.
Tire Damage Risk
Verify the tractor gear is in “Neutral” before
folding or unfolding to avoid damage to tires.
Planter Damage Risk
Do not fold or unfold without first fully raising
planter completely or damage will occur.
Fold the planter for moves between fields, transport
over public roads, parking, and storage.
The two-point hitch is raised and lower during the
operation to adjust the tongue height.
If the planter is equipped with a rear auxiliary hydraulic
drive system, set the selector valve (1), near the
sequence valve (2), near the wing hinge on the left
wing to “Marker”. This selection must be made even
when the planter is not configured with optional
markers or the fold hydraulics will not be able to be
activated.

1. Move the planter to level ground with adequate
overhead and side-to-side clearances for the fold
operation.
2. If installed, ensure markers are fully folded
(page 27).
3. As equipped, set tractor hydraulic circuit levers
for the fan(s) and hydraulic drive to “Neutral”
4. Use tractor lift hydraulic circuit lever to fully raise
the planter.
5. Set tractor lift hydraulic circuit lever to “Neutral”.
6. Lower the two-point hitch.
7. Set the tractor gear to “Neutral”.
8. With your in-cab console, tap the Fold Sequence
softkey from the Home screen.
9. Tap the Fold softkey to set the Fold hydraulic
system to active. This is indicated by the Fold
softkey changing to a blue Active Fold softkey.
For partial unfolding, either tap the Stop
softkey (not shown) or set lever to “Neutral”
while the planter is unfolding.
10. Use tractor fold hydraulic circuit lever until the
planter is fully folded.
11. Set the fold hydraulic circuit lever to “Neutral”.
12. When folding is complete, tap the Active Fold
softkey so fold hydraulic system is no longer
active.
13. Raise the two-point hitch.
