PL5200 Planter

Table of Contents

Pre-Delivery Instructions

3. Secure the lower extension weldment (2) with

four 3/4-10 X 7 X 8 1/2 u-bolts (4) and four
locking nuts (5).

4. Secure the upper extension weldment (1) with

two 3/4-10 X 6 1/32 X 5 5/8 u-bolts (6) and two
locking nuts (7).

5. Secure the lower extension weldment (2) with

three bolts (8) and three locking nuts (9).

6. Complete steps 1 through 5 for the right lift assist

wheel assembly.

Hydraulic Cylinders

High Pressure Fluid Hazard

The hydraulic system comes from the factory
fully

charged.

Great

Plains

strongly

recommends  that  all  hydraulic  system
adjustments and repair to be completed by  a
trained  professional  who  is  knowledgeable
about how to safely complete hydraulic system
work.  Do  not  pinch  or  damage  hydraulic
hoses.  Compromising  a  closed  hydraulic
system can cause serious injury or death.

1. Beginning on the left side, locate where the lift

assist left hydraulic cylinder was stored for
shipping with zip ties along the center frame.
Release shipping zip ties.

2. Carefully position the hydraulic cylinder (1) into

place with the rod-end in the lower mount bracket

(A) and the rod-base in the upper mount bracket
(B).

3. Secure the rod-end of the hydraulic cylinder (1)

into the lower mount bracket (A) using the clevis
pin (2) secured by the cotter pin.

4. Secure the rod-base of the hydraulic cylinder (2)

into the upper mount bracket (B) using the pin
(4), two washers (5), and two roll pins (6).

5. Adjust the eyebolt (7) by turning the adjuster nut

(8) until it is 4.5 in (11.4 cm) from the end of the
tube.

6. Repeat steps 1-6 for the right lift assist wheel

assembly.
