UMRC Table of Contents Preparation and Setup
Install CMRC Cleaner Arms
For Unit-Mount Coulter - Row Cleaners (disk
coulters present).
CMRC kits do not include a mount weldment, as
they rely on mounts
on the UMC brackets . If
the UM coulter mounts are not yet on the
implement, install them before installing the row
cleaners, but do not install the coulter blades until
step 11 below.
WARNING
: If the Unit Mounted Coulter
blades are already installed, exercise extra care
while installing the row cleaners.
The CMRC itself is mounted directly on the coulter
mount.
1. Select one of the following, depending on kits:
207-323H ROW CLEANER ARM CM
207-327H ROW CLEANER ARM CM
207-328H ROW CLEANER ARM CM NARROW
207-330H ROW CLEANER ARM CM TR LH
(odd rows)
207-331H ROW CLEANER ARM CM TR RH
(even rows)
2. Select two each:
803-169C NUT HEX FLG LOCK 1/2-13 PLT
804-017C WASHER FLAT 1/2 USS PLT
207-135D LONG UMC RC PIVOT TUBE
817-615C RC ARM PIVOT BUSHING
804-029C WASHER FLAT 1 SAE
802-456C HFS 1/2-13X2 GR8
3. Select one:
818-525C DECAL SHARP OBJECT WARNING
4. If the row cleaner wheels are already installed on
the arm, use a large block of wood placed on the
ground to support the weight of the row cleaner
wheels while completing steps 5 and 6.
5. Position the row cleaner arm ( , , , ,
or ) inside the ears on the coulter arm. While
trapping the flat washer under the flange on
the pivot bushing, push bushing and pivot
tube through the hole in the coulter arm and
into the pivot hole on the row cleaner arm.
6. Repeat step 5 on the opposite side.
7. Install the bolt from the inside of the arm,
through the bushing and secure with the flat
washer and the nut .
8. Repeat on step 7 on the opposite side.
9. Torque both nuts to spec.
10. Clean and dry the surface of the gusset on the
arm weldment and apply the decal .
11. If a coulter is also being installed, mount the
blade.
12. Repeat UMC-RC step 1 through step 8 for all
rows.
