Opener Depth (Press Wheel Height)
Refer to Figure 67
Set opener seeding depth by adjusting press-wheel
height .
To adjust, first raise openers slightly, then lift and slide
the T handle
on top of each opener. Adjust all press
wheels to the same height.
•
Each increment of the handle adjusts the seeding
depth by approximately

inch (6.4 mm). The range
is approximately 0 to 3

inches (0 to 8.9 cm)
seeding depth.
•
For more shallow seeding, slide T handle forward
toward implement.
•
For deeper seeding, slide T handle backward
away from implement.
If press wheels are lifting off ground, increase hydraulic
down pressure.
If press wheels are digging into ground, reduce hydraulic
down pressure.
Individual Opener Height
Refer to Figure 68
You may need to lower an opener which runs in a tire
track. To lower individual openers, move opener-pivot
bolt to lower hole in opener mount.
