Quad Link 3G – 2SI Division:
The 4K image is sub-sampled into four full-frame images,
each at half the vertical and horizontal resolution.
•
12G:
The 4K image is sent on a single 12G link.
•
3G:
The image is sent on a single 3G Link.
Note 2:
Usually, 2-Sample Interleave outputs have a different Video Payload ID (Transfer
Characteristic, Colorimetry, and Bit depth) on each link, per SMPTE 4255. Some
downstream equipment may not support this standard, so the use of SMPTE 4251 Video
Payload IDs (Transfer Characteristic, Colorimetry, and Bit depth) can be forced by selecting
3Gbps legacy in the Video Payload ID (Transfer Characteristic, Colorimetry, and Bit depth)
Standards pulldown menu. Video Payload ID (Transfer Characteristic, Colorimetry, and Bit
depth) Standards settings are ignored when the SDI Output is set to 3G or 12G.

UC supports two of the mappings of video into the serial digital
interface defined by SMPTE 424M. 3G Mapping settings are ignored when the SDI Output is
set to 12G.
• The Level A format is the direct mapping of uncompressed 1080p (up to 60 fps) video
into a serial digital interface at the nominal 3 Gbps.
• The Level BDL (DualLink) format is the mapping of DualLink HDSDI/SMPTE 372M (for
example, 1080p up to 60 fps) in a single serial digital interface at the nominal 3 Gbps.
A diagram of the upconversion process is displayed underneath the settings for each
processing channel. Each link will be either green (no error) or red (error).

Timing Tab
For each processing channel, you can adjust the timing relative to the reference. Use the
slider or type a value into the data box on the right of the slider.
