Essence Processing (EP) Connect a serial digital video signal to the HD-BNCs labeled

3G/HD/SD-SDI I/O 5

to

3G/HD/SD-SDI I/O 16

conforming to the:

• SMPTE 425-1 standard for a 3G input signal.
• SMPTE 292-1 standard for an HD input signal.
• For EP SDC v17.2 only: SMPTE 425-5 standard for link #1 to #4 of a

quad link 3G HD signals to transmit a 4K UHD signal. For a quad link

configuration, see

For outputs, see the spigot configuration.

Connect a serial digital signal to the HD-BNC Inputs labeled

3G/HD/SD-SDI I/O 5

to

3G/HD/SD-SDI I/O 8

conforming to

AES10-2008. Obtain a serial digital signal from the HD-BNC

Outputs labeled

3G/HD/SD-SDI I/O 9

to

3G/HD/SD-SDI I/O 16

conforming to AES10-2008.
Inputs and outputs can be paired together to provide

redundancy. Each pair can be individually enabled with the

Pairing

parameter on each odd-numbered spigot page. The

pairings, when enabled, link Inputs 5 & 6, 7 & 8 and link Outputs

9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14, 15 & 16. To enable pairing, see the
