8949MDA-CXF
SD/HD monitoring distribution amplifier PAL/NTSC
output – fiber-ready front and rear module set.
Fiber optic kit option includes fiber optic submodule,
mounting bracket, and fiber cable assembly for
mounting on the module circuit board.
SFP-13103G-M1DRX-K
Dual input fiber receiver kit. For one-signal-per-fiber
and CWDM fiber systems
SFP-13103G-M1DTX-K
Dual output fiber transmitter kit. For one-signal-perfiber
systems
SFP-13103G-M1TRX-K
Fiber transceiver kit. For one-signal-per-fiber systems
Please note that the 8949MDA-CXF provides 16:9 anamorphic
monitoring outputs for HD signals and 4:3 outputs for SD
inputs. You should use the 8949MDA-SXF for SDI outputs. To
provide the fastest possible conversion, this module does not
perform deinterlacing and consequently it has an extremely short
processing delay of 0.97 ms.

The 8949MDA-CXF is a monitoring distribution
amplifier with PAL/NTSC monitoring outputs. This
module is ideal for low-cost monitoring of HD-SDI
signals. It provides four monitoring coax outputs
and four reclocked coax outputs and can be used
to distribute either SD-SDI or HD-SDI making it
ideal for mixed format applications or installations
where an upgrade is planned. Aspect ratio
controls are active on the downscaled outputs
with an HD input signal.
With its fiber-ready architecture, the 8949MDA
can use one of three types of fiber optic
submodule options. With a dual transmitter fiber
option installed, two fiber outputs are provided in
addition to the eight coax outputs. Applications
include use as an HD-SDI fiber transmitter with
additional monitoring and reclocked coax feeds.
Or the module can have a dual receiver (two fiber
inputs) or a transceiver (one fiber input and one
fiber output.
Parameters can be adjusted with onboard
controls or via standard HTML Web browsers
or via the Newton control panel (when installed
in network-equipped frames). In addition
NetConfig and NetCentral can be used for remote
configuration and signal
health monitoring.
This is a monitoring
device so, in order to
provide the fastest
possible conversion,
the module does not
perform de-interlacing
and consequently it
has an extremely short
processing delay of
0.97 ms.
