The 8925EMB-U is a compact eight-channel
SD/HD digital audio embedder (multiplexer)
module. It provides three distributed SDI
outputs with embedded audio and one output
acting as an input reclocked loop-through. This
module is ideal for building dense SD/HD and
audio infrastructure for production and playout
applications.
The module automatically detects the audio
format, and Dolby E streams are also detected
and passed transparently. The AES inputs can
handle asynchronous audio and sampling rates
from 32 kHz to 96 kHz, which are converted
to synchronous 48 kHz embedded within the
video stream.
With its fiber-ready architecture, the
8925EMB-U can be configured to support up
to two fiber inputs and two fiber outputs. With
the fiber transmitter or transceiver option, it
can take video from copper or fiber, embed
audio, and transmit over fiber in one single slot.
The receiver option makes it ideal for receiving
incoming feeds from longer distances and
locally embedding audio.
