Solution / Action
The pulse indicator blinks but
the fence gives only a weak
shock.
Make sure all connections and the fence and ground
connections are tight and in good condition. If necessary,
remove corrosion and tighten the connections.
Also make sure that the grounding rod is almost all the
way in the ground. Check the fence for contact with trees,
bushes or other vegetation that could be diverting
current, and remove the vegetation.
Check to see whether the power of the Solar fence
energizer is sufficient for the length and/or number of
fence wires. If necessary, reduce the length of the fence
and/or number of fence wires.
Alternatively, you can divide the fenced-in area into
smaller areas with separate fences and separate Solar
fence energizers.
The pulse indicator does not
blink.
If the battery is insufficiently charged, then the unit may
be in deep-discharge protection mode. Charge the
battery by positioning the Solar fence energizer so that
the solar panel faces south if in the northern hemisphere,
or north if in the southern hemisphere.
If this does not charge the battery sufficiently, disconnect
the electric fencer from the fence and manually change
the battery with a battery charger.
If the battery is still not sufficiently charged, it will need
to be replaced.
Before putting a new battery in the Solar fence energizer,
charge it fully with a suitable charger.
If the LED on the Solar fence energizer still doesn’t come
on, consult your dealer.
The battery needs to be
changed frequently.
Make sure that the solar module is clean and undamaged.
Make sure that the Solar fence energizer is positioned so
that the solar panel gets maximum sunlight. Remove any
objects or plants that might shade the unit.
