WHILE FUELING 

 

Keep hose nozzle in contact with the filler pipe to provide a ground against static sparks. 

 

Fill the tank slowly to avoid danger of spillage. 

 

Do not overfill the tank. Leave some room for the fuel to expand. In hot conditions fill the 
tank to about 80% of its maximum capacity. 

 

If fuel is spilt on the hull, use an ordinary, non-abrasive cleaner then wipe with a damp cloth and 
rinse the area with clean water. 

EXPLOSIVE/FIRE

 

HAZARD 

 

IF A FUEL LEAK OR FUMES ARE DETECTED, DO NOT START THE ENGINE. ENSURE ALL CREW 
LEAVE THE BOAT AND HAVE A QUALIFIED PERSON REPAIR THE DEFECT AS SOON AS 
POSSIBLE.
