Teleflex i6000 Electronic Controls
The 360 Express is equipped with the i6000TEC series triple engine electronic shift and
throttle controls system. This system is activated when the engine ignition switches are turned
on. Also, the green LED indicators must be illuminated above the engine standby switches
(see
“Engine Standby” on page 8–2
and
“12 Volt DC i6000 Engine Switches Diagram” on
page 8–53
for more information on these switches). This system consist of a dual-lever
control head located at the helm, the engine switches on the control panel, three electronic
control units (ECUs), three throttle actuators, and three shift actuators. These work together to
simplify triple engine controls into standard dual engine controls. The ECUs, throttle
actuators, and shift actuators are installed in the starboard aft berth rigging compartment.
They may be accessed through the wall panel in the starboard wall of the aft berth
compartment. Also, two power distribution boxes located in the aft rigging compartment near
the generator ensure a constant power supply to the ECUs. These power distribution boxes
receive over-current protection from two 30A breakers installed in the aft battery
compartment beneath the aft drop-in box. The center engine follows the port lever for shift
and throttle at startup; however, there are four operating modes you may choose from. This
system is complex and covered in detail in the owner’s manual for this product which is
included in your owner’s packet. See
“12 Volt DC i6000 One-line Diagram” on page 8–61
for
wiring detail.
