Engine-mounting
Fit the engine precisely in centre position of
the transom panel. Fasten the engines clamp-
screws by hand, as tight as possible, and
secure the engine to the boat by means of a
chain or recovery-line.
Engine trim
Engine setting (trim) should be arranged re-
lative to, and to suit, under way conditions.
The engine should be aligned whereby the
prop-shaft is appointed horizontally level,
parallel to the water surface.
Individual alignment and change of angle set-
ting May never the less improve trim. Read
the instructions supplied with your engine.
load distribution
The boat should be loaded in a manner, whe-
re length- and lateral level is well bal-anced.
Well spread and balanced load only guaran-
tees optimised movement through the water.
Therefore endeavour to spread loads evenly.
If the bow of your boat distinctly rises abo-
ve the water surface, then you ought to move
weight forward.
If the boat does not plane when at speed, you
need to move weight aft.
iMpORTANT: Recheck firm clamp-screw
holding after 15 minutes of engine opera-
tion.
NOTiCE: protect the boat skin of your
boat against fuel and oil contact!
Engine fuel and oil dissolves the rubber
-layer and may damage the boat skin. if
in spite of care fuel is spilled onto the boat
skin, rinse thoroughly with water.
WARNiNG: Do not smoke or use open fire
near fuel tanks!

fuel-tank
If you carry a remote fuel tank, place it (on an
old rug, blanket, plastic sheet or similar) on
the floor of your boat, thus avoiding damage
to the boat skin by spillage of fuel. Secure the
tank to the boat against being lost overboard
by means of a chain, recovery-line or strap.
WARNiNG: Adjustments to the engine
must not be made whilst the engine is run-
ning!
When using the boat on your own, we recom-
mend to move forward and counter balance
(luggage, fuel-tank...) to the bow, or to use a
tiller extension.
WARNiNG: poor trim may dangerously
destabilise the boat and may cause loss of
boat control!
Drain valve
To evacuate water from the boat.- Bailing
entails automatic draining of water shipped
inboard. Bailing though functions only, when
the boat is moving faster (suction) than the
speed of the water, on which the boat moves.
Close the valve by pushing the rubber stop-
per (smooth side) from the outside into the
valve firmly.
