8. Installation

Caution!

The use of another screw can lead to irreparable device damage!

3. The suction-carrier is bent only a little bit in the direction of the driver, avoid

coursing power by that. The fine alignment of the GPSeye IN1 occurs with the

screw of the sucking-carrier.

4. Tighten the screw at the ball head.

The extraction of the holder occurs in reverse order.

Certain windshields (for example heat-insulating, heat-able or tinted disks) can generally

interrupt the GPS signal reception. If such interferences occur, please use an exterior

antenna (available separately).

8.2. Installation of optional antennas: Tips

8.2.1. Important Tips for the Arrangement of the Antennas

The GPSeye IN1 already includes five antennas that reliably work independently of

each other in normal provider networks. Additional, you only need optional TMC and

GPS antennas in transmission networks with insufficient area covering and/or influenced

reception (for example through unfavorable placement of the GPSeye IN1).

You may find the corresponding antenna sockets on the left side (Front view on the device)

of the GPSeye IN1.
In the case of hidden installation of an optional GPS antenna, the fixed installation is

recommended, for example in the driver’s vehicle side view mirror, because of disturbing

reflections or through high-rise buildings, can be reduced in this way.
