20. FAQs on Hard- and Software

Case

Answer

Vehicle does not send any

data.

A vehicle suddenly stops sending data, e.g. on the freeway.

Probably the vehicle is in a traffic jam or a parking place.

This is no error.

The GPSeye IN1 deactivates data trans-

mission when the vehicle stops and activates the data trans-

mission when it continues to drive.

Inconsistent data.

A vehicle sends inconsistent GPS-data, which are not iden-

tical to the real location of the vehicle.

• Check the “sight” of the GPSeye IN1 towards the sky.

Eventually connecting an external GPS antenna will

help.

• Check whether the device is eventually shielded at the

installation location, e.g. by window pillars, metal

parts, metal-steamed windows.
