3.2. Connection of the GPSeye IN1 to the Device Carrier
• The supplied holders for the fixing to the windshield or dashboard are deliberately
produced with a narrow tolerance in order to safeguard a tight fit. Pay attention to
the correct position of the parts to each other during the installation.
• During the fixed installation the device may be secured only with the supplied safety
screw at the carrier in order to avoid damages at electronics and case. Make sure
not to over tighten the screws.
• Separate the device from the device carrier manually if required. In this case do
not use any mechanical aids.
3.3. Proper Location
• Fix the GPSeye IN1 only with the supplied fixing items, either by suction-cups
at the windshield or by screwing-carriers directly at the dashboard. The supplied
safety screw fixes the device to the screwing-carrier.
• Absolutely pay attention that the direct line of vision for the driver is not being
restricted by fixing the device in the vehicle! Attention is to be paid to the obligatory
legal regulations of your country.
• Avoid the proximity of heat sources (for example heating vent holes), devices
with strong magnetic fields (for example loudspeaker) and emitting apertures of
air-conditionings during the placement.
• Provide a sufficient ventilation of the device.
• Do not cover the ventilation openings of the GPSeye IN1.
• Do not expose the device to excessive heat or cold, dust and steams.
