CAUTION!
■
Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation!
1. Unpack the device and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items
Supplied and Device Overview" chapter) and transport damage. If you
fi
nd any dam-
age, do not use the device (!), but contact our customer service department.
2. Remove any
fi
lms and stickers that may be present from the device.
3. Before you
fi
rst use the device, we recommend that you let two to three full tanks
of water run through the coffee machine without any coffee powder in order to
fl
ush
through all the lines etc. and to rid them of any possible production residues. To do
this, follow the instructions in the “Use” chapter.
4. Then clean the permanent
fi
lter, the
fi
lter holder and the jug with hot water and a little
detergent. Dry these parts before they are placed back inside the device.
Use
CAUTION!
■
In the interest of your own safety, inspect the device for damage each time before
you use it. Only use it if the device, mains cable and plug have no signs of damage!
■
Danger of burns from steam escaping!
Never open the water tank cover when the
device is switched on. Also do not pour any water into the water tank while the device
is hot! Hot steam or hot spray water may escape. Always switch off the device
fi
rst
and allow it to cool down before you add any more water.
■
Danger of burns!
The storage plate, the
fi
lter and
fi
lter holder are hot during the
brewing process and immediately afterwards. There may also be hot water inside the
fi
lter and
fi
lter holder. Let these parts cool down before you touch them.
■
Never switch on the device without water in the water tank! The pump may be dam-
aged.
■
Do not over
fi
ll the water tank in order to prevent the jug from over
fl
owing later on! Do
not exceed the MAX marking on the water level indicator.
■
Before you
fi
rst operate the device, make sure that the water tank cover is closed and
that the permanent
fi
lter and the
fi
lter holder are inserted correctly so that the water
can run through the coffee powder without any problems.
■
Do not operate the device unattended so that you can intervene immediately in the
event of any malfunctions (e.g. over
fl
ow etc.).
■
Clean the device regularly in the manner described in the "Care" chapter.
The device has overheating protection which prevents the device from being
switched on again directly after a brewing process for safety reasons. After a
brewing process, you should therefore wait for a few minutes until the device has
cooled down before you start another brewing process.
