3.1 Metal-free Areas Around Transponder and Antenna
Metal close to transponder and antenna influences the range and accuracy of the
reading system. We deal with the following cases:
1.
Smaller metallic structures that do not form a loop.
2.
Closed metallic structures or smaller metallic structures that form loops.
The following minimum distances apply.
3.1.1 Smaller Metallic Structures That do Not Form a Loop
Around the antenna, smaller metallic structures that do not form loops may violate
the metal-free space. They must have a minimum distance of 50 mm.
