Using the Flash Light
Press the /
repeatedly to s et the desired flash light mode.
The following icons appear on the screen.
Flash Off mode (Use decides not to use flash)
This mode forcibly prev ents automatic firing of the flash, thus
allowing available light photography in museums, churches , etc.
where flash photography is prohibited.
Flash AUTO mode
The flash fires automatically according to the ambient conditions .
Select this mode for general photography.
Flas h ON mode
The flash always fires regardless of the surrounding brightness.
Select this mode for taking photos in artificial light.
Daylight flash photography is effec tive for bac k-lit subjects, strong
shadows, or on cloudy days . It lets you take more natural looking
pictures by s oftening harsh shadows.
Red Eye Reduction
The flash emits a pre-flas h before the main flash flashes, which
caus es the pupil in the human eye to close and eliminates red-eye
phenomenon. To prevent red eye, set this mode when taking photos
of portrait in low-light conditions.
