Capacity for the Grip Remover is one quart. Recommended solvents are The GolfWorks® FP 142+ Grip Solvent (Code: VB1018) or
Brampton Technology HF100 Grip Solvent (Code: HF100). Both grip solvents work well and will not damage the neoprene seals.
The use of any other solvents will void the warranty. After filling the container, prime by blocking the fitting into which the needle
will be attatched while simultaneously pumping the handle until fluid is comes out. Once this is done, screw the needle into the
unit. The Grip Remover is now ready for use.
1.
Push the needle slowly into the
grip at a 45° angle until it touches
the shaft. The needle should enter
the grip approximately 2" from the
grip cap. Keep fingers away from the
end of the needle.
2.
Place your thumb over the entry
point into the grip and inject the
solvent. Placing your thumb over the
hole will prevent the solvent from
squirting out.
3.
Solvent may also be injected
using an extension hose attached to
the needle and Grip Remover.
4.
Once a portion of the grip has
become enlarged due to the
presence of the solvent, remove
your thumb from the position over
the needle.
5.
Work the solvent bubble down
the length of the grip by pushing and
twisting the grip at a point just
behind the bubble. This will allow
the solvent to move down the entire
length of the grip.
7.
Pull the grip from the shaft.
8.
The grip is removed in perfect
condition, ready for reinstallation.
6.
Continue to push and twist until
the solvent squirts from the bottom
of the grip.
CAUTION!
* Always wear eye protection
and exercise caution while using
the needle!
* For infrequent use, it is
recommended that the solvent
be removed from the canister to
prevent clogging and damage to
the Grip Remover.
